Austria's National Day, observed every October 26th, is a significant moment for the country. This commemoration marks the ratification of Austria’s Neutrality Constitution. In celebration of Austria's National Day, H.E. Dr. Thomas Loidl, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Indonesia, along with Mrs. Theresa Loidl, have invited various guests to a reception on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at Ayana Midplaza Grand Ballroom, Jakarta. The event will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 PM WIB, with a theme of national dress and batik for guests.

This year's National Day of Austria also commemorates 70 years of friendship and unity between Austria and Indonesia. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two nations have developed strong cooperation across various sectors, including culture, economy, and social affairs. This celebration symbolizes the ongoing partnership, which has had a positive impact on both countries in strengthening international relations.

On this special occasion, H.E. Umar Hadi, Director General for American and European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, served as the Guest of Honor. Additionally, representatives such as the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Transportation for Regional and Environmental Affairs, and the Head of Domestic, Bilateral, and Subregional Affairs, were present to support efforts to strengthen the bilateral transportation cooperation between Indonesia and Austria. The presence of these various parties reflects the significant attention paid to the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Austria, which has grown rapidly over the past decades.

One of the notable events at the reception was a choir performance featuring traditional attire from Indonesia. This performance not only enhanced the beauty of the event but also reflected Indonesia's rich cultural diversity, which is part of the world’s cultural heritage. This moment also serves as a tribute to the cultural diversity present in Indonesia and highlights the importance of cultural exchange in strengthening international relations.

Through this commemoration, Indonesia and Austria reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship that has spanned seven decades.
