THE WEEKND IS COMING TO JAKARTA: AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN 2026
The Weeknd brings After Hours Til Dawn: The Final Leg Before Shutdown to Jakarta International Stadium on September 26 and 27, 2026.
On May 11, 2026, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye posted on his Instagram and the confirmation landed the way it was always going to: immediately, loudly, and with a date that made every Indonesian fan check their calendar twice.
The Weeknd is bringing After Hours Til Dawn: The Final Leg Before Shutdown to Jakarta International Stadium on September 26 and 27, 2026. Two nights. One stage. The closing chapter of what is now officially the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist in music history.

What After Hours Til Dawn: The Final Leg Before Shutdown Actually Is
The After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour originally launched in July 2022 and has since become the highest-grossing tour ever by a male solo artist, selling 7.5 million tickets across 153 shows and surpassing one billion dollars in global grosses. The Asian leg is the final chapter of that run, and it carries the subtitle The Final Leg Before Shutdown, which The Weeknd's own announcement described without further explanation, leaving the interpretation to the fans and the industry alike.
The tour is expected to feature songs spanning The Weeknd's entire career, including a celebration of his album trilogy: After Hours, Dawn FM, and Hurry Up Tomorrow. The production is known for its futuristic lighting, cinematic visuals, and the kind of stadium-scale staging that turns a concert into an event that takes days to fully process.
The Weeknd recently received the Best Tour of the Year award at the 2026 iHeartRadio Awards and the Best R&B Tour at the Pollstar Awards, further cementing the cultural weight of this stadium series.
This is also a first. While The Weeknd previously appeared in Indonesia at the DWP festival in Bali in 2018, the Jakarta concerts mark his first solo shows in the country.
The Opener Nobody Expected: Yousuke Yukimatsu
The name that quietly changed the conversation around this tour is not one most pop audiences recognized before this announcement.
Japanese techno DJ Yousuke Yukimatsu will join The Weeknd as opener for the Tokyo, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur dates of the Asian leg, alongside Japanese hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts who will support at most other Asian stops.
Yukimatsu is known for his experimental techno sets at underground Tokyo venues including Contact and Circus Osaka, and has appeared multiple times at Boiler Room. His selection as opener for an artist of The Weeknd's commercial scale is being widely noted as a deliberate move to introduce the Japanese underground techno scene to a global pop audience, a crossover that rarely happens at this level and on this stage.
The pairing is unusual. It is also exactly the kind of curatorial decision that makes the Asian leg feel like more than a closing run.
