JAKARTA WELCOMES THE FIRST 25HOURS HOTEL IN ASIA: A BOLD FUSION OF CLASSIC AND CONTEMPORARY DESIGN

This daring new landmark redefines urban escapism through a whimsical blend of contrasts and creativity

Jakarta has officially become home to the first 25hours Hotel in Asia with the opening of 25hours Hotel The Oddbird. Strategically located above ASHTA Mall in the District 8 area of the Sudirman Central Business District, the hotel offers a unique fusion of classic and contemporary culture, embodying its signature theme of a “paradise of paradoxes.”

Designed by three renowned studios—1508 London, EDG Design, and Stylt Trampoli—the hotel presents a bold harmony between tropical and urban elements. Each space showcases a distinctive character, ranging from calming botanical motifs to energetic geometric patterns with industrial palettes.

To celebrate its grand opening, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird hosted a vibrant block party on Friday, April 25, 2025. The event featured an array of local musicians and performers across various areas of the hotel. Starting at 5 PM, DJ Asa Kusumah kicked off the sunset session at the Cabana Pool, followed by a performance from El Fuego Latin Band at the COPA Terrace. Inside the Oddbird Bar, DJ Patricia Schuldtz, DJ Shawn Muljadi, and DJ Tiara Eve kept the energy high into the night. Meanwhile, in the Ballroom, DJ Dipha Barus took the stage before the evening concluded with a special live performance by Afgan.

In addition to music, the event also featured street magic acts, tarot readings, pop-up art exhibitions, and thematic photo spots, offering guests an immersive experience that reflected the creative spirit of Oddbird.

The celebration was attended by notable figures including Alexander H. Kusuma (CEO of ASRI), Bruno Marti (EVP of Brand Marketing at 25hours Hotels), and Christoph Hoffmann (Founder of 25hours Hotels). In his speech, Hoffmann expressed his hope that Oddbird’s presence in Jakarta would mark the beginning of more exciting projects throughout Indonesia.

The hotel offers two main types of rooms: the Garden Room, which evokes a natural ambiance with botanical motifs and organic textures, and the Urban Room, which captures the city’s vibrant spirit with industrial-inspired design. Other facilities include the COPA Restaurant, VIDA Spa with an infrared sauna and ice bath, and creative spaces such as a birdcage-shaped coworking area.

Jesper Soerensen, General Manager of the hotel, stated, “We are bringing a new way to experience Jakarta—embracing its contrasts, celebrating its stories, and inviting guests into a true paradise of paradoxes.”

With its unique concept and comprehensive amenities, 25hours Hotel The Oddbird is more than just a place to stay—it’s a creative hub for travelers, business professionals, and the city’s vibrant creative community.
