GRABX 2026: INTRODUCING 13 AI INNOVATIONS FOR EVERYDAY LIFE
With 13 new AI innovations, Grab strengthens its role as a smart daily guide, making life easier for users, drivers, and businesses
In the fast pace of urban life, even small decisions like choosing lunch, finding the fastest route, or deciding when to leave can feel exhausting. To address these everyday challenges, Grab unveiled a new wave of innovation at GrabX 2026, held at Shangri-La Jakarta.
At the event, Grab launched 13 artificial intelligence powered innovations, with nine of them available for users in Indonesia. These features are built on Grab Intelligence Layer, the company’s AI infrastructure that enables the system to understand real time conditions and help users make faster, smarter, and more efficient decisions.
AI for Users: More Practical and Cost Efficient
One of the standout features is Group Ride, which allows up to four people traveling in the same direction to share a ride. Grab’s AI system automatically optimizes the route and splits the fare for each passenger. With this feature, users can save up to 40 percent compared to traveling alone.
Grab More is another practical feature that lets users order food from two different merchants in a single delivery. This creates a more flexible food ordering experience without significantly increasing delivery costs.
Grab also introduced Grab Shopping Agent, an AI powered shopping feature that can understand shopping lists through text, photos, or voice notes. The system can instantly build a shopping cart and suggest alternative products when needed.
GrabMaps for Consumers has also become more advanced. Beyond showing directions, it can help users determine the best time to leave, estimate fares, calculate toll costs, and locate parking spaces or EV charging stations.
Supporting Travelers, Partners, and Businesses
For travelers, Grab is preparing Personalised Travel Experience, set to launch in Indonesia in the third quarter of 2026. This feature helps users stay on top of important travel details such as passport reminders, airport check in, and gate updates.
Discover by Grab will also launch later in 2026, helping users find authentic local food, interesting places, and personalized recommendations while exploring a new city.
For merchant partners, Grab introduced Cloud Printer to simplify kitchen order workflows, as well as Tap to Pay, a contactless payment solution that works without additional hardware.
Meanwhile, for driver partners, Grab launched Driver AI Assistant, also known as Coach. This smart assistant provides real time guidance on high demand areas, the best operating hours, and strategies to improve daily earnings.
Through these innovations, Grab shows that AI is not just advanced technology, but a practical solution that can make everyday life easier, more affordable, and more convenient for everyone.
