Unveiled in October 2023, The Earth Sentinels consists of two colossal figures—one male and one female—facing each other in a symbolic stance. Standing 14 meters tall, this is one of Popper’s largest works to date.

The sculpture is built from concrete with a steel frame, reinforced with fiberglass for durability. It was crafted in Shenzhen and South Africa before being transported in pieces to Bali for final assembly.

What makes this statue truly unique is its integration with nature. Trees sprout from the shoulders and necks of both figures, while real plants grow at the base. Over time, the statue will evolve as the greenery flourishes, reinforcing its message of harmony between humans and the natural world. The dynamic light display tells the story of the guardians’ reincarnation cycles, creating a truly immersive and magical atmosphere.

Visitors can also listen to a narration that delves into the deeper philosophy behind the statue, offering a richer understanding of its significance.
