RUN TO CARE 2025: A 150 KM JOURNEY ACROSS JAKARTA FOR THE FUTURE OF INDONESIAN CHILDREN
An inspiring experience through the heart of the city, igniting compassion for the future generation
After a series of successful editions in various cities across Indonesia, Run to Care returns from August 8 to 10, 2025, continuing its mission under the spirit of Together For Children. Now in its 11th edition, this ultra-marathon invites all Pejuang Anak to experience a 150-kilometer journey through Jakarta while supporting a meaningful cause for children in Indonesia.
More than just a long-distance race, Run to Care is a social movement initiated by SOS Children’s Villages to raise awareness and concern for the fulfillment of children's fundamental rights. For more than ten years, the movement has supported thousands of children through access to protection, education, and healthcare, helping to build a stronger and more independent future for the next generation.
This year’s route leads runners through five administrative regions of Jakarta, including South, Central, North, West, and East Jakarta. It also stretches into Tangerang in Banten Province and Depok in West Java, concluding at SOS Children’s Village Cibubur. In contrast to the scenic greenery of the Bandung-Lembang route in previous editions, this year’s participants will be tested by Jakarta’s dense urban landscape, complete with towering skyscrapers, heavy traffic, and the tempting presence of online taxis throughout the city.
The event will start on Friday, August 8 at 11 PM from Senayan Park. Runners will head north to Jakarta Utara, continue westward, and then move through the southern area before reaching the finish line in Cibubur. Alongside the physical race, Run to Care also offers a virtual edition in partnership with 99 Virtual Race, its official collaborator since 2020. Through the platform, participants can register for the 50K, 100K, or 150K Multiple Run categories.
Since its launch in 2017, Run to Care has reached more than 1,700 ultra runners, 4,000 virtual participants, 1,400 volunteers, and 95 sponsors. The movement has inspired over 57,000 donors and successfully raised a total of 15 billion rupiah in donations.
This year, the event aims to raise 3 billion rupiah to support three main programs focused on nutritional support, talent development, and sustainable infrastructure for children in Jakarta. By encouraging public participation and fostering a collective sense of responsibility, Run to Care 2025 continues to show that every step counts in creating lasting change for the future of children in Indonesia.
