POLAND–INDONESIA FRIENDSHIP WALK AND POLAND SHOPPING DAY STRENGTHEN BILATERAL RELATIONS THROUGH CULTURE AND COMMUNITY
An uplifting public celebration that united diverse communities through shared experiences, cultural discovery, and a vibrant showcase of global spirit
As part of the Poland Festival campaign, the Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk returned during Car Free Day and attracted hundreds of participants, both locals and expatriates, on 16 November 2025. The event served as a symbol of friendship, collaboration, and cultural exchange between Poland and Indonesia. Starting from Bundaran HI at the Poland Festival 2025 gazebo area, participants walked a five-kilometer route before arriving at Grand Lucky SCBD, where the official launch of Poland Shopping Day 2025 was held, offering a variety of Polish products at special prices.

This program was organized under Poland Festival ASEAN 2025 by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland in Jakarta, Grand Lucky, and Hokky Group. The initiative marked an important milestone in strengthening cultural and economic relations between the two countries.
Celebrating Community and Cultural Exchange

The Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk encouraged meaningful interaction through an inclusive outdoor activity. Families, students, and representatives from business and cultural communities joined the event, reflecting shared values of togetherness and an active lifestyle embraced by both nations.
After completing the walk, participants attended the opening of Poland Shopping Day 2025 at Grand Lucky SCBD. The program offered a range of activities, including cultural performances, product displays, and culinary experiences that introduced Polish food and lifestyle products to Indonesian audiences. This approach highlighted the importance of innovative exchange and mutual learning while also supporting commercial promotion.
Expanding Collaboration Across Indonesian Cities
This year’s Poland Shopping Day took place in three cities, demonstrating Poland’s ongoing collaboration with Indonesia’s modern retail and consumer sectors.
The opening schedule included:
- Jakarta on 16 November 2025 at Grand Lucky SCBD,
- Bali on 21 November 2025 at Grand Lucky Sanur,
- Surabaya on 22 November 2025 at Hokky Citraland.
Throughout the program, participating stores in Jakarta, Bali, and Surabaya will showcase Poland Shopping Day corners featuring themed activities such as cooking demonstrations, cultural presentations, product sampling, and special discounts. The program also acknowledges outstanding retail partners through the Poland Shopping Day Awards, recognizing their commitment to quality and innovation in international trade.
Poland Festival ASEAN 2025: A Platform for Cultural Diplomacy and Innovation

The Poland–Indonesia Friendship Walk and Poland Shopping Day are part of the wider regional initiative Poland Festival ASEAN 2025, which aims to advance cultural diplomacy, education, and innovation across Southeast Asia.
By hosting events like this, we bring the communities closer together, by opening profitable business opportunities on one hand, but also through shared everyday experiences on the other,” said Cezary Filipek, Head of Office, Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
“The Friendship Walk and Shopping Day reflect how collaboration can evolve from simple, joyful activities that build long-lasting bridges between nations.”
