PIPILAKA CALLING: AN IMMERSIVE ART AND NATURE EXPERIENCE AT TMI

Invites you to enter a magical forest filled with art, adventure, and a focus on environmental awareness

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), in collaboration with the Pipilaka Foundation, presents an art exhibition titled "Pipilaka Calling" at the Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG), TMII. This exhibition serves as the debut introduction of Pipilaka to the public.

Pipilaka Calling was officially opened on Saturday, December 14, 2024, and will run until January 31, 2025. The opening event was attended by prominent figures, including Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar, Special Presidential Staff for Creative Economy Yovie Widianto, President's Son Didit Hediprasetyo, Deputy for Strategic Development of Creative Economy Cecep Rukendi, TMII’s President Director Intan Ayu Kartika, as well as Pipilaka founders Wahyadi Liem and Eno Sigit. Their presence emphasized support for the social and artistic mission carried out by the Pipilaka Foundation.

The exhibition introduces creations by Indonesian talents, showcasing adorable and storytelling Pipilaka characters while offering a unique experience through various interactive art installations that reconstruct the magical forest where Pipilaka resides. Elements such as glowing mushrooms, natural soundscapes, and a mystical ambiance create an unforgettable immersive experience. Additionally, visitors can enjoy various forms of visual art, including Pipilaka statues made from recycled materials, reflecting the exhibition's message of environmental preservation.

Pipilaka Foundation also carries a noble mission to raise funds through art to support social activities in the fields of humanitarian aid, education, health, and environmental protection. One initiative includes the sale of Charity Pass tickets. By purchasing these tickets, visitors not only enjoy the exhibition but also contribute to helping those in need.

Moreover, the exhibition serves as a platform for students from DOES University to develop Indonesian-made intellectual property (IP) with the potential for future growth. Through the collaboration of talented artists, "Pipilaka Calling" successfully blends audiovisual art to captivate the eyes and imagination of every visitor.

For those eager to experience this exhibition, plan your visit to the Contemporary Art Gallery, TMII, Jakarta. The exhibition is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with tickets priced at IDR 45,000 for the general public and IDR 35,000 for students.
