On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, Arsjad Rasjid, the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), inaugurated the Mexican Bilateral Committee at the gathering held at PASOLA Restaurant, The Ritz Carlton Pacific Place SCBD, Jakarta.

The event, held to strengthen economic and trade relations between Mexico and Indonesia, was attended by the Ambassador of Mexico to Indonesia and Timor-Leste, H.E. Amando Alvares, and the Director General of America and Europe, Ngurah Swajaya.

The formation of the committee led by Mr. Daniel Budiman is a follow-up to the signing of the Letter of Intent (LOI) in the INA-LAC (Indonesia-Latin America) Business Network between Indonesia and Mexico. The cooperation in the trade sector with Mexico, which has existed since 1962, is expected to continue and have a closer cooperative relationship.

Not just attended by the Ambassadors and the names mentioned before, but also government officials and representatives from Mexican and Indonesian companies. This gathering hopefully will strengthen the relationship between Indonesia and Mexico, as well as one of the efforts to enhance the economy between the two countries.
