THE MINISTRY OF CREATIVE ECONOMY SUPPORTS 12 FASHION BRANDS IN REACHING THE GLOBAL MARKET THROUGH ASIK FASHION CONNECT 2025

A dynamic showcase that elevates Indonesia’s emerging fashion talents through creative synergy, global exposure, and powerful industry connections

The Ministry of Creative Economy and Creative Economy Agency, through the Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the global competitiveness of Indonesian fashion. On December 9, 2025, the ASIK Akselerasi Ekspor Kreasi Indonesia Fashion Connect 2025 program took place at the National Library of Indonesia, marking a significant moment for creative economy players, especially in the fashion subsector, to expand their access to export markets.

Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene emphasized that ASIK Fashion Connect is more than a celebration. It represents a concrete effort to open new pathways to global markets. She stated that ASIK Fashion Connect offers an important opportunity for export, providing a space for collaboration and networking that helps strengthen access to international markets.

As a strategic initiative of the Ministry of Creative Economy, the ASIK program is designed to prepare creative economy players with the capacity and readiness to compete in international markets. ASIK Fashion Connect 2025 serves as the culmination of the ASIK Batch I development program, focusing on increasing global exposure for Indonesian modest fashion, sustainable fashion, and craft-based design. The initiative also aims to build long-term networks among designers, producers, and global market players to support the growth of the national creative economy.

With the theme Connecting Indonesian Creativity to the Global Market, ASIK Fashion Connect offered a series of integrated activities, including business matching, networking forums, creative brand presentations, fashion exhibitions, and fashion shows. This approach opened wider opportunities and improved access for creative entrepreneurs to connect with both domestic and international buyers.

The Deputy for Cultural and Design Creativity, Yuke Sri Rahayu, highlighted that ASIK Fashion Connect acts as a strategic platform linking local creativity with international business networks. She explained that through collaboration among creative players, buyers, and global fashion industry stakeholders, the event showcased a new image of Indonesian fashion that is distinctive, competitive, and export-oriented.

During the brand presentation session, 12 selected brands, consisting of 10 fashion brands and 2 accessory brands, were introduced to potential buyers. These brands included Rengganis, KaIND, ASTIGA LEATHER, Rubysh, BRILIANTO, dots Indonesia, Batik Widayati, Anantari, GLOESHOES, ALRAFI, APIKMEN, and maima. Each presented signature collections that highlighted sustainability and the strength of local craftsmanship blended with contemporary design.

The event also featured the Creative Export Corner, a mini exhibition showcasing products and catalogs from ASIK Batch I participants. This provided buyers and media with direct access to further explore the potential of each brand.

ASIK Fashion Connect reinforces that Indonesian culture, creativity, and the creative industry have strong potential to grow through connection, collaboration, and the confidence to enter global markets. Initiatives like this demonstrate Indonesia’s readiness to present its fashion identity on the world stage.
