THE 15TH RAMADHAN JAZZ FESTIVAL BRINGING TOGETHER JAZZ RAMADAN AND HUMANITARIAN ACTION IN HARMONY FOR THE NATION
An inspiring annual celebration where rhythm and compassion come together to empower communities and support those in need
Remaja Islam Masjid Cut Meutia (RICMA) once again joins forces with WartaJazz to present the Ramadhan Jazz Festival RJF 2026. Now in its 15th year, the annual festival will be held on March 6 and 7, 2026, at the courtyard of Masjid Cut Meutia in Jakarta as part of the celebration of the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah.
Under the theme Harmony for the Nation, RJF 2026 reflects the solidarity of Indonesian youth with communities affected by disasters in the Sumatra region. The theme goes beyond a tagline. It is expressed through a strong spirit of togetherness and fundraising initiatives that remain at the heart of the festival.
Since it was first introduced, the Ramadhan Jazz Festival has been recognized as the only jazz festival in the world held in a mosque courtyard during Ramadan. This consistency has shaped RJF into a unique platform where spiritual values, artistic expression, and social awareness meet. Through a creative da’wah approach, jazz music serves as a medium to share messages of compassion while raising support for those in need.
For its 15th edition, the festival will feature performances by Candra Darusman, Nikita Dompas and Detik Waktu Quartet featuring Andien and Adira Kania, Galaxy Big Band Jazz Orchestra, Krakatau with Andre Dinuth and Barry Likumahuwa, Societeit de Harmonie with Natasya Elvira, Sore, and Sisitipsi. Additional musicians are also expected to take part, further enriching the RJF stage this year.
As in previous years, attendance follows a donation based concept. Visitors can make contributions through the Goers application or directly at the venue during the event days. This approach highlights that joining the festival is not only about enjoying quality jazz performances, but also about supporting humanitarian causes.
For this year’s main event, the organizers are aiming for broader participation, including the presence of notable figures from various sectors such as musicians, political leaders, community representatives, and ambassadors from friendly nations. The involvement of these diverse participants strengthens RJF’s role as a gathering space that unites art, culture, and social responsibility.
As a long standing partner, WartaJazz has actively promoted Indonesian jazz for 25 years, both nationally and internationally, and regularly organizes at least eight jazz festivals each year. The collaboration between RICMA and WartaJazz continues to provide a solid foundation for the sustainability of the Ramadhan Jazz Festival.
By bringing together spiritual reflection, artistic creativity, and humanitarian commitment, Ramadhan Jazz Festival 2026 reaffirms its role as a platform for young people to spread harmony and goodwill throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
