RAMADAN 2026 AT HOUSE OF TUGU JAKARTA, A CELEBRATION OF HISTORY, FLAVOR, AND TRANQUILITY

Experience Ramadan 2026 through a journey of rich flavors, cultural traditions, and a serene heritage atmosphere

House of Tugu Jakarta is offering a distinctive Ramadan 2026 experience, inviting guests to celebrate the holy month through the rich flavors, traditions, and warmth of the Indonesian archipelago. Located in the heart of Jakarta’s Old Town, once the center of the global spice trade, this heritage property presents the Spice Route of Indonesia Iftar. The breaking-of-fast program combines authentic Batavia architecture with the diverse flavors of Indonesia, enhanced by curated dishes from Jajaghu and specialty coffee from Babah Koffie by Kawisari Coffee. The experience is ongoing throughout Ramadan 1447H, from February 20 to March 20, 2026.

For centuries, Indonesian spices have been among the world’s most prized commodities. Every nutmeg from the Maluku Islands had to pass through the northern coast of Java, now Jakarta’s Old Town, before reaching Europe. House of Tugu Jakarta stands at the heart of this history, bringing the story of spices to life through a meaningful breaking-of-fast experience. Shafa Haura, Representative of House of Tugu Jakarta, explains that spices are not just ingredients but a part of Indonesia’s collective memory, especially relevant during Ramadan.

The Spice Route of Indonesia Iftar offers a carefully curated journey of flavors. Each dish tells a story, from its origin to the distinctive spices that define its taste. Guests can enjoy slow-cooked Padang-style Goat Curry with layered spices, Gianyar Betutu Duck roasted until tender with Balinese spice paste, and sweet finales such as Spice Trail in Medjool Dates and warm Kolak Biji Salak. Every course is complemented by the Iftar Royale Espresso from Babah Koffie, blending espresso, dates, and spices into one elegant experience.

Every detail at House of Tugu Jakarta contributes to a unique breaking-of-fast atmosphere. High ceilings, soft lighting, and authentic Batavia architecture create a setting that feels both personal and grand. The venue welcomes intimate iftars as well as larger gatherings with family, friends, or colleagues.

For Eid, Jajaghu presents The Archipelago Legacy, an Idul Fitri dining experience inspired by Indonesia’s culinary traditions and historic spice routes. The meal begins with appetizers reflecting Batavia’s heritage, followed by Lamb of the Spice Isles and Royal Lebaran Ketupat, bringing together flavors from Java, Sunda, Padang, Batavia, and Blitar. Desserts highlight entirely Indonesian creations.

Babah Koffie by Kawisari Coffee also offers Ramadan hampers featuring single-origin coffee, pure honey, selected pastries, and the signature carabikang for takeaway, presenting Indonesian traditions in a personal and thoughtful way.

House of Tugu Jakarta complements these experiences with exclusive Eid stay packages, including a spice-inspired Nusantara spa, offering guests the peacefulness of Old Town Jakarta on the morning of the festive day. Through the ongoing Ramadan and Eid 2026 programs, House of Tugu Jakarta continues to honor the city’s cultural heritage while making it alive and relevant today.
