The Indonesian music industry has reached another proud milestone on the global stage. Niki Zefanya, known professionally as NIKI, has officially become the first Indonesian musician to surpass six billion streams on Spotify. This achievement also makes her the first Indonesian female artist to reach this number, further strengthening her presence in the international music scene.

According to the latest data, the total streams of NIKI’s songs on Spotify have reached 6,011,068,481 and continue to increase by an average of around four million streams per day. The six billion figure represents the combined total of her entire music catalog throughout her career. In other words, her songs have been played billions of times by listeners around the world.

In addition to her impressive total streams, NIKI currently has 15.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Her audience continues to grow steadily, with significant daily increases. In June 2025, she celebrated reaching five billion streams. It took her only about seven to eight months to add another one billion streams, highlighting the consistent growth of her global fan base.

This success did not happen overnight. Since joining the international label 88 Rising, NIKI has steadily built a strong following, particularly in the United States and across Asia. Her consistent music releases and distinctive sound have helped her gain wider recognition in the global market.

Born in Jakarta, NIKI is a singer and songwriter who has successfully established her career internationally. Songs such as High School in Jakarta and Every Summertime have received positive responses from listeners worldwide. In April 2025, she ranked number 415 among global artists, a milestone that further confirmed her growing influence in the industry.

Another significant achievement in her career was becoming the first Indonesian female singer to earn Gold Certification from the RIAA with Every Summertime. This recognition demonstrates that her music is competitive in the United States market.

Beyond digital platforms, NIKI is also known for her strong stage presence.
