Marina Bay Sands welcomes the Year of the Fire Horse with a series of celebrations running from 10 February to 3 March. During this period, the integrated resort unveils thematic decorations, immersive activations across the property, and specially curated shopping and dining experiences, inviting guests to celebrate the Lunar New Year in an elegant and refined setting.

Inspired by the Horse as a symbol of strength, vitality, and forward momentum, this year’s décor draws from the legend of the Thousand Mile Horse, a steed said to journey across vast horizons. The concept transforms key spaces throughout the resort into a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary design.

In the Hotel Lobby, an installation inspired by a traditional scroll painting features mountain landscapes and windswept plains encircling three horse figures. Layered transparent elements, silhouettes in mid motion, and sculptural streams of light create a sense of movement, journey, and destined arrival.

The story continues at The Shoppes’ Grand Colonnade, where galloping horses are set against softly graded mountain backdrops. A gold coin rests at the feet of each horse, symbolizing prosperity with every stride. Hanging scrolls with horse motifs and rose gold peonies crafted through metal cutting pay tribute to traditional Chinese paper cutting artistry. Ombre mountain artworks printed on translucent fabric further enhance the depth and immersive quality of the display.

From 10 to 21 February, the iconic architecture of Marina Bay Sands is illuminated in shades of gold and pink, accented with horse and peony motifs. At the same time, ArtScience Museum marks the Year of the Horse through the digital installation Animals of Flowers, Symbiotic Lives at teamLab Future World, where a digital horse moves through blooming fields of flowers. The experience holds added significance as the museum celebrates its 15th anniversary.

At The Shoppes, the festive atmosphere is reflected in curated seasonal collections and exclusive gift selections. Fashion and accessories from renowned maisons are complemented by timepieces and jewelry known for their craftsmanship and symbolic meaning. Seasonal beauty offerings, including distinctive fragrances and advanced skincare essentials, further enrich the celebratory experience.

Dining is also central to the festivities. Restaurants present multi course set menus and Lunar New Year specialties, ranging from classics such as Peking Duck and Yu Sheng to premium seafood and contemporary interpretations of Teochew cuisine. Guests can also enjoy thematic beverages and festive treats, including limited edition teas, cookie gift sets, and modern takes on pineapple tarts. Le Noir introduces the Xin Nian Spritz, a special cocktail created exclusively for the season.
