Banyan Group, an independent global hospitality company, celebrates a significant milestone in its 30th year and is ready to enter a new chapter of greater achievements with several resort openings in 2025. With a focus on a promising future, the group is set to welcome its 100th resort with its debut in Singapore, as well as openings in new destinations such as Tanzania and the Dominican Republic.

Brand Evolution Continues in 2025

Banyan Group's growth momentum is expected to continue into 2025, with plans to open 15 new hotels and resorts, as well as five branded residence developments. These key openings will offer multi-concept spaces that push the boundaries of traditional hospitality, providing guests with a more immersive experience that integrates wellness, nature, culture, community, and retail. Some of the highlighted openings include:

• Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, Banyan Group's first resort in Singapore. With 338 rooms located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, this resort offers a nature-inspired stay, where every design element harmonizes with the surrounding environment.
• Ubuyu, a Banyan Tree Escape, Banyan Group's first safari resort located in Tanzania. Overlooking the Great Ruaha River and situated within Ruaha National Park, the resort provides an immersive experience focusing on local culture and wildlife encounters.
• Standalone development in Bangkok, which combines accommodations, spa, dining, a membership club, and a nightclub within a single complex, offering a dynamic experience that merges comfort and connectivity.

Additionally, Banyan Group continues to expand its presence in Asia with new openings in Zhuhai Phoenix Bay (China), Haeundae Busan (South Korea), Ram-Intra Bangkok (Thailand), and Mandaue City Cebu (Philippines). In the Caribbean, Cassia Punta Cana becomes their first resort in the Dominican Republic.

Commitment to Sustainability and Wellbeing

With a deep commitment to the environment and empowering communities, Banyan Group is also strengthening its sustainability initiatives in the coming year. This includes the launch of the Coral Reef Restoration Project on Hainan Island, China, as well as efforts to restore natural habitats through the Rewilding Banyan Fund, which supports the creation of bee-friendly forests on Bintan Island, Indonesia.

The group will also further integrate the 8 Pillars of Wellbeing concept into their guest experiences, offering retreats and wellness programs with visiting experts, as well as further developments to their spa brands in 2025.

Historic Milestones in 2024

The year 2024 marks a historic milestone for Banyan Group, with 18 new hotel and resort openings, including their debut in Japan with Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto. In addition, the group introduced its first six branded residence developments, including Garrya Residences and other projects within Laguna Lakelands. They also signed agreements to launch branded residences in Madrid and Dubai, signaling their expansion into Europe and the Middle East.

In their commitment to sustainability, Banyan Group launched the Rewilding Banyan Fund and expanded Our Marine Lab at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, reinforcing their leadership in marine conservation. They also established Greater Good Grants to support local communities and environments in their operational areas.

The 30th anniversary was also celebrated with a name change to Banyan Group, the launch of a new members' program, and the publication of a special edition book. All these initiatives commemorate the 30-year journey since the launch of their first brand, Banyan Tree, which now offers a wide range of experiences and exclusive collections worldwide.

These achievements were globally recognized, with over a hundred awards received by Banyan Group in this historic year.
