An event set to deliver an unforgettable experience through music, culture, and togetherness

The International Golo Mori Jazz (IGMJ) 2025 will take place at Golo Mori Convention Center in Manggarai Barat, East Nusa Tenggara, on April 12, 2025. Originally set for November 16, 2024, the festival was postponed due to the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki. Now, with renewed energy, IGMJ 2025 is ready to showcase its theme, "Jazz from the East, Exotic!" celebrating the unique charm of Eastern Indonesian culture.  

A Celebration of Jazz and Tourism

More than just a music festival, IGMJ 2025 aims to bridge the worlds of music and tourism. By blending art, culture, and breathtaking landscapes, the event is expected to attract both local and international visitors. With Golo Mori emerging as a world-class travel destination, it offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable jazz experience.  

The festival will feature top musicians such as Andien, Maliq & D’Essentials, and Sheila Majid, along with a special orchestral performance by Tohpati. Their presence will create an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere, enhanced by the stunning natural surroundings.  

Boosting Tourism and Empowering Local Communities  

While the festival has international appeal, domestic tourists remain a key focus. Promotions are also being carried out in Malaysia and Singapore, which offer direct flights to Labuan Bajo. This initiative aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision of making Indonesia’s tourism sector more competitive on a global scale.  

Beyond bringing new energy to the Golo Mori Convention Center—traditionally used for government events—IGMJ 2025 will also serve as a learning opportunity for the local community. Around 80 percent of the festival crew will be recruited from the area, providing valuable hands-on experience in the creative industry.  

A Commitment to Sustainable Tourism  

The Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), which oversees the development of the area, is dedicated to making Golo Mori a sustainable MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) destination. The festival is a key step in positioning Golo Mori as a must-visit location while also supporting the local economy.  

With a combination of world-class jazz performances, breathtaking scenery, and strong community involvement, the International Golo Mori Jazz 2025 is set to be more than just a festival—it will be a milestone in establishing Eastern Indonesia as a leading global travel destination.
