ARCHIPELAGO SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED THE K-VIBES LIFESTYLE EVENT “60 SECONDS TO SEOUL” IN SERANG
A vibrant culinary experience that showcased the flavors of Korean street food, engaging interactive entertainment, and a lively, festive atmosphere
Korean culinary trends continue to gain strong momentum in Indonesia and have become a key part of modern urban lifestyles. Industry data shows that interest in K-Food is no longer seasonal, but has developed into a lasting culinary preference. Responding to this growing enthusiasm, Archipelago, Southeast Asia’s largest hotel management group, introduced the K-Vibes lifestyle event titled “60 Seconds to Seoul,” held for the first time in Serang, Banten.

The event took place on January 31, 2026, at Aston Serang Hotel & Convention Center. It featured a pop-up culinary concept that brought the vibrant flavors of Seoul’s street food into a hotel environment. More than just a dining experience, “60 Seconds to Seoul” was designed as a Korean-themed lifestyle event that seamlessly combined food and entertainment into one immersive program.
During the launch, Archipelago together with Aston Serang Hotel & Convention Center presented a selection of Korean-inspired dishes reflecting the dynamic street food culture of Seoul. The atmosphere was further enlivened by a range of interactive activities, including a Korean food parade, fun games, karaoke sessions with Korean songs, and K-Pop dance cover performances. Media representatives and influencers from Jakarta and Banten were also in attendance, adding to the energetic and celebratory ambiance of the event.
Archipelago CEO John Flood shared that “60 Seconds to Seoul” is part of the Archipelago Global Flavours Series. This program was developed as a rotating pop-up culinary concept that changes every six months, highlighting street food specialties from different countries. Through this initiative, Archipelago aims to make international dining experiences more accessible across its extensive hotel network in Indonesia.
The “60 Seconds to Seoul” program was not limited to Aston Serang but was also available at Archipelago hotels throughout Indonesia from January to June 2026. With prices starting from Rp38,000, guests were able to enjoy a variety of popular Korean street food offerings, including Tteokbokki, Korean Cheese Burger, Gangnam Hot Chicken, Soko Fish Tacos, and Kimchi Fried Rice, along with other savory dishes inspired by the streets of Seoul.

The dining experience was completed with signature desserts such as Jeju Mocha Puffs and Baesuk Pear, as well as four refreshing beverages: Sparkling Yuzu Honey, Shikyee Fizz, Maesil Mojito, and Omija Cooler. All menu selections were available through poolside service, room service, and delivery platforms GoFood and GrabFood, allowing both hotel guests and the general public to enjoy the offerings with ease.
Through this program, Archipelago continued to deliver creative and memorable food and beverage experiences, bringing the spirit of Seoul’s street food closer to Indonesia and offering an international culinary journey without the need to travel abroad.
