The Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 is an event that music lovers won’t want to miss. Spanning three exciting days, from November 22 to 24, 2024, at the GBK Senayan Baseball Stadium in Jakarta, the festival promises an unforgettable musical experience with iconic headliners like St. Vincent and Air, along with a variety of other captivating performances.

Organized by Plainsong Live, the festival has already generated excitement with early announcements featuring major acts such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Blueboy, MONO, Real Estate, and more. The recent additions to the lineup have raised anticipation even further, with the inclusion of two major headliners: St. Vincent and Air.

St. Vincent: Delivering Iconic Works

Annie Clark, known by her stage name St. Vincent, will take the stage at Joyland Festival Jakarta to showcase her latest works. The American multi-talented artist has long been praised for her exceptional musical talents and innovative creations. During her performance, she will feature songs from her 2024 album All Born Screaming, including tracks like Big Time Nothing, Flea, and Broken Man. In addition, St. Vincent will delight the crowd with timeless hits such as Pay Your Way in Pain, Digital Witness, and New York. Her performance is set to be one of the festival’s standout moments, considering her significant influence on both the pop and rock music scenes.

Air: Celebrating 25 Years of Moon Safari

Equally exciting, the legendary French duo Air will also perform at the Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024. Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel will commemorate the 25th anniversary of their debut album Moon Safari by performing iconic tracks like La femme d’argent, Sexy Boy, and Kelly Watch the Stars. In addition, Air will take fans on a nostalgic journey through their nearly three-decade career, playing songs such as Cherry Blossom Girl and Electronic Performers. Their performance will revive the mesmerizing atmosphere of ambient pop, adding a rich layer to the festival experience.

International and Local Performers

In addition to the headliners, Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 will feature an exciting mix of international and local performers. Los Angeles-based pop duo Bubble Tea and Cigarettes and Tokyo's indie rock band DYGL will bring diverse sounds to the festival. South Korea’s indie rock band Silica Gel and Melbourne’s jazz-funk ensemble Surprise Chef will also join the lineup.

The festival will also shine a spotlight on Indonesian talent. Efek Rumah Kaca will return with a special performance, featuring tracks from their Konser Rimpang show, which was a hit last year. Majelis Lidah Berduri will present a theatrical performance based on their upcoming album Hujan Orang Mati. Hindia and Lomba Sihir will perform together in Pentas Sihir, offering a unique mix of songs from both their catalogs. Other local artists performing include Ali, Maliq & D’Essentials, The Adams, and The S.I.G.I.T.

Curated Experimental Stages and Diverse Activities

Joyland Festival Jakarta 2024 will also offer a unique experience through curated stages. Jakarta-based indie pop group White Shoes & The Couples Company has been selected to curate the Lily Pad stage, featuring new and experimental artists such as Teenage Death Star and The Panturas, along with international acts.

In addition to musical performances, the festival will host several signature programs to enhance the visitor experience. The Shrooms Garden stage will feature comedy performances curated by Soleh Solihun, while Joyland Village will offer a variety of local food, drinks, and products. Families can enjoy the White Peacock area, which will feature a sensory play garden, mini orchestras, choirs, aerobics karaoke, and much more.

Another exciting feature is Cinerillaz, an outdoor cinema that will screen short films curated by renowned director Joko Anwar.
