A captivating journey of resilience and connection, brought to life through a deeply moving story of friendship

Askara Productions has officially announced its latest musical, "Untuk Perempuan," via Instagram. More than just a title, "Untuk Perempuan" serves as a tribute and appreciation to all women who continue to persevere in life—those who remain standing even when the world feels heavy. This musical is a reminder that every woman deserves to be seen, appreciated, and loved.

With a heartfelt and relevant story, "Untuk Perempuan" explores the evolving friendship between three women—Diandra, Namira, and Lintang—who first met during college because they wore the same lipstick shade. They once made a promise to create something special together, but life took them on different paths as they entered their 30s.

An unexpected reunion brings them back together and sparks a big idea: to build a sociopreneurship business centered around a lipstick collection that celebrates women's uniqueness. However, the journey is far from easy. Differences in vision, internal conflicts, and competition in a male-dominated business world become challenges they must face together. Through laughter and tears, they learn to cope with heartbreak, discover their identities, and redefine the meaning of success.

The musical features Andini Mayang as Diandra, a bold product developer disillusioned by a sexist work environment; Kayla Alunandika as Namira, a podcaster from a wealthy family who hides a deep sense of emptiness; and Cheryl Mesa as Lintang, a perfectionist banker torn between social pressures and domestic life.

In addition to the three main characters, the musical also features a strong supporting cast including Rio Rahmansyah, Rafiz Ari, Lydia Napitupulu, and a special appearance by Ian Hugen as Vanessa in two exclusive shows.

"Untuk Perempuan" will be performed on April 26–27, 2025, at Teater Salihara, Jakarta. Audiences will also be treated to specially arranged songs by Kunto Aji and Nadin Amizah, adapted emotionally for the stage.

With a compelling story, heartfelt music, and timely themes, "Untuk Perempuan" is both a mirror and a celebration of modern women's courage and solidarity.
