KUTARUN 2026: RUNNING FOR SPORT, HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
Uniting the spirit of competition, community bonding, and environmental care in a single, energetic, and inspiring event
Kuta Beach once again hosts KUTARUN 2026, an international running event that blends competitive sports, environmental awareness, and the celebration of a healthy lifestyle. Carrying the theme “We Run. We Care. We Celebrate a New Breath from Bali to the World,” KUTARUN is designed for competitive runners, featuring professional race standards, accurate timing systems, and challenging routes at the heart of Bali’s vibrant tourism hub.
Organized by CV. Bentang Segala Media, KUTARUN 2026 begins on Friday, January 24, 2026, with a charity program releasing 150 baby turtles along Kuta Beach. This initiative involves orphans and children with special needs and is part of the “Clean Air for Bali” campaign, promoting environmental care and sustainable ecosystems. On the same day, a Kids Fun Run is held for children aged 12 to 15, offering a fun and engaging start to the event.
The main race takes place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 04:00 to 11:00 WITA, with both start and finish points at Jalan Pantai Kuta, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali. The routes pass through the main streets of Kuta, Seminyak, and Legian, which are specially closed for the event, giving runners a unique experience amid Bali’s coastal scenery and bustling tourist hubs. KUTARUN works closely with police, transportation authorities, local village officials, and medical teams to ensure a safe, smooth, and organized event for participants and the surrounding community.
As an international competition, KUTARUN offers a truly competitive atmosphere that goes far beyond a casual fun run. The race is open to national and international athletes across several categories: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon 21K. The 5K and 10K categories are split into national and open classes, while the 21K includes national, open, and master classes. Professional time limits are set at 1.5 hours for 5K, 2.5 hours for 10K, and 3.5 hours for 21K.
Beyond the main races, KUTARUN 2026 features a range of exciting door prizes, with grand prizes including electric cars, electric motorcycles, and electric bicycles, encouraging sustainable transportation and eco-friendly lifestyles.
KUTARUN 2026 positions Bali not only as the host of a world-class sporting event but also as a hub where sport tourism, environmental awareness, and healthy living converge. The event is expected to strengthen Bali’s reputation as a premier sport tourism destination while bringing a fresh breath from Bali to the world.
