Indonesian Fashion Week 2022 was also attended by the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki, Garut Deputy Regent Helmi Budiman, and some ambassadors from other countries.
On that occasion, the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki, expressed his appreciation for the successful implementation of Indonesian Fashion Week 2022. Teten assessed that the IFW 2022 event was an essential element in uniting the fashion industry players with government agencies.
"We see that this event is significant, bringing together all the important elements from fashion designers, academic institutions, small institutions, craftsmen, business associations, and the government," said Teten Masduki on Sunday (4/17/2022).
Furthermore, he hoped that IFW would be not only an event but also a means of developing the fashion industry in the country.
Meanwhile, the President of Indonesian Fashion Week, Poppy Dharsono, said, although the implementation of IFW 2022 was full of challenges, with strong optimism in revitalizing the nation's economy, finally the biggest event of this year could be held successfully.
Poppy Dharsono said that during the five days of Indonesia Fashion Week 2022, there were more than 30,000 visitors and more than Rp 30 million transactions.
"We hope this IFW can be a trigger for the revival of the Indonesian economy, starting from the small and medium business sector in Indonesia," said Poppy Dharsono.
Not to forget, as the President of IFW, Poppy Dharsono thanked various parties such as the government, the private sector, the Regional National Craft Council, fashion designers to the craftsmen who took part in the successful implementation of Indonesian Fashion Week 2022.
In addition, IFW 2022 also pays off the longing of fashion lovers after waiting for a long time to return to the big fashion show, which was held offline. At the event, which was held from April 13-17, 2022, more than 100 Indonesian designers also presented their best works.
IFW 2022 also provides a platform for talented young designers to gain experience as a preparation for their future careers.
Indonesia Fashion Week 2022, which again raised the theme titled "Magnificent Borneo" just like the previous year, emphasized the culture of Kalimantan as the main inspiration.
