WIC Jakarta opens the 17th WCI Conference, focusing on empowering women through education and cultural heritage in a rapidly changing world

The Women’s International Club Jakarta officially hosted the opening of the 17th Biennial Welcome Clubs International Conference on April 27, 2026, at The Westin Jakarta. The event marked an important moment, bringing together representatives from international women’s clubs across various countries in a meaningful and collaborative forum.

This biennial conference welcomed delegates from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, and Indonesia. Their presence reflected a shared global spirit to build networks, strengthen friendships, and promote the role of women across different sectors.

Under the theme “Bridging Traditions and Transformations: Empowering Women through Education and Cultural Heritage in a Changing World,” the conference highlighted the importance of women in maintaining a balance between tradition and modernity. Since 2020, WCI has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, further reinforcing its role on the international stage.
