Renowned for their expertise in interior and architectural design, LW Design Group has partnered with hospitality leader Kerzner to deliver a distinctive dining experience at One & Only One Za’abeel — Dubai’s first urban resort, opened in 2024. This project marks the brand’s entry into an urban environment, merging Dubai’s iconic cityscape with the signature elegance and service of One & Only.

Since 2018, LW Design Group has been instrumental in shaping key food and beverage (F&B) spaces within the resort. A standout achievement is the transformation of the resort’s fourth floor into a Bali-inspired sanctuary that seamlessly blends luxury and calm. Other standout spaces designed by LW include The Garden Pool, Andaliman, Tapasake, and Street XO — each setting new benchmarks in modern hospitality design.

The Garden Pool: A Bali-Inspired Sanctuary in the Sky

On the fourth floor, guests are welcomed into a lush urban retreat inspired by Bali’s iconic rice terraces. LW Design Group repurposed an unused podium into a green escape with tiered pools representing Indonesia’s rich natural beauty. Natural materials such as raw limestone, native stone, and emerald tiles, paired with aromatic living green walls, create a peaceful oasis amidst the vibrancy of Dubai.

Visitors arrive through intricately carved doors resembling traditional Balinese gates. A leafy corridor then guides them to tranquil pools and landscaped gardens, offering a fully immersive experience that evokes the spirit of Bali right in the heart of the city.

Andaliman: A Journey Through Indonesian Flavors

Next to The Garden Pool, Andaliman brings the flavors of Jakarta to life. The restaurant's dynamic design features bold colors and textures that reflect Indonesia’s cultural richness. At its core is an open kitchen, allowing diners to witness the preparation of traditional dishes that celebrate Indonesia’s spice trade heritage. Elements like teakwood furniture and detailed Balinese carvings enhance the warm, authentic ambiance.

Street XO Dubai: A Bold, Multi-Sensory Dining Experience

Located on the same floor, Street XO Dubai marks Michelin-starred chef David Munoz’s first venture in the city. LW Design Group channeled the edgy energy of London’s Soho, Camden’s underground scene, and the neon-lit flair of Tokyo to craft an imaginative, theme-park-style culinary space. With an L-shaped layout combining bold structures and dynamic elements, the restaurant features graffiti-covered walls, theatrical lighting, and playful design that stimulate all the senses.

Tapasake: Sophisticated Minimalism with a View

Perched on the 27th floor, Tapasake draws design inspiration from the world of luxury yachts and super sailboats. Featuring the UAE’s longest cantilevered pool at 110 meters, the space radiates effortless sophistication. Its Japanese minimalist aesthetic is highlighted by black lava stone and sleek marine deck chairs, creating a tranquil yet refined dining environment that enhances the culinary experience.

Each F&B venue at One & Only One Za’abeel reflects LW Design Group’s commitment to imaginative vision and meticulous craftsmanship.
