HYATT ASIA PACIFIC LAUNCHES 'BE MORE FOODIE' IN THAILAND: A BLEND OF WELLNESS AND CUISINE
The initiative is introduced across eight properties in Thailand, offering a healthy and delicious dining experience focused on wellness and sustainability through local ingredients and expert nutritional guidance
Hyatt Asia Pacific is now offering a flavorful and health-conscious dining experience through its latest initiative, “Be More Foodie: Mindful Indulgence.” Introduced at eight Hyatt properties in Thailand, this program helps guests enjoy nutritious meals that don’t compromise on taste.
By collaborating with certified nutritionists and wellness consultants, Hyatt has crafted a menu that tantalizes the taste buds while meeting high nutritional standards. This initiative supports Hyatt’s culinary philosophy, “Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served.” which prioritizes serving food that benefits people, communities, and environmental sustainability.
Nourishing Food, Rich in Flavor
Christophe Sadones, Vice President of Food & Beverage, Events & Product Development for Asia Pacific, explains that this initiative was inspired by a desire to offer food that provides both pleasure and health benefits. “We believe that dining is not just about taste, but also about creating happiness and health. Our collaboration with nutritionists allows us to craft a culinary experience that delights the palate while promoting well-being,” Sadones shared.
Hyatt’s menu includes popular Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Gai Yang, and Mango Sticky Rice, reimagined with less sugar and added fiber for a healthier approach that preserves authentic flavors. Western fare is also featured, with nutrient-rich choices like whole wheat pizza topped with locally sourced organic vegetables and buckwheat crepe suzette served with fresh berries and orange. Guests can also choose from an array of low-alcohol, alcohol-free, and specially crafted functional smoothies.
Certified nutritionist Sandra Lim, who collaborates with Hyatt, describes the campaign as a union of culinary artistry and nutritional science. “With Mindful Indulgence, we want to show that healthy eating can be enjoyable. It’s not just about salads or grain bowls but rather savoring favorite dishes prepared with health and sustainability in mind,” Lim explained.
Championing Local Communities and Sustainability
Hyatt supports sustainability by sourcing ingredients responsibly from local Thai farmers. Hyatt Regency Koh Samui and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin, for example, source vegetables, herbs, cheese, and seafood directly from local communities, while Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort even has its own herb garden. Additionally, meats like chicken, pork, and beef are sourced from organic farms with high animal welfare standards, ensuring quality while fostering environmentally friendly practices.
The initiative has drawn public interest and support from notable figures, including actress Jarinya ‘Kaew’ Sirimongkolsakul, who shared that healthy living brings her freshness and comfort in her daily life. “With more organic choices like those in Hyatt’s campaign, we can enjoy fresh, delicious, and healthy meals,” she remarked.
Panipak ‘Tennis’ Wongpattanakit, a two-time Olympic Taekwondo champion, also supports the initiative. For her, balanced nutrition and mindful food choices are key to maintaining her mental and physical performance. “Mindful eating keeps me focused for competitions. With Hyatt’s campaign, I can enjoy healthy, delicious meals without the hassle of sourcing them myself,” she commented.
Available at Eight Hyatt Properties in Thailand
The “Be More Foodie: Mindful Indulgence” menu is now offered at eight Hyatt locations in Thailand, including Park Hyatt Bangkok, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, Hyatt Place Bangkok Sukhumvit, Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui, and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin.
This initiative also provides guests with discounts of up to 20% at selected restaurants and bars during the campaign. Hyatt hopes that guests will directly experience the benefits of healthful food that retains exceptional flavor.
