HONOR EXPANDS INTO THE INDONESIAN MARKET TO STRENGTHEN ITS POSITION IN SOUTHEAST ASIA

Global technology brand HONOR has recently announced a significant step in its business expansion by entering the Indonesian market, one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia. In 2025, HONOR will introduce around 30 product variations from its entire product portfolio, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, and wearables. The first product launch is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025. As part of its long-term strategy, HONOR also plans to open more than 10 HONOR experience stores across Indonesia in its first year.

According to Justin Li, President of HONOR South Pacific, Indonesia is seen as having tremendous potential, making it one of HONOR’s key markets in Southeast Asia. "We are committed to growing together with the Indonesian market in the long term and collaborating with our local partners to build a complete ecosystem of products and services for consumers here," said Li.

In an effort to meet the growing demand, HONOR is focusing on premium mid-range products that offer an exceptional user experience. The growth of the middle class in Indonesia is a major driving factor behind the demand for innovative products that are affordable yet of high quality. "HONOR is ready to meet this need with a broad and innovative product portfolio," Li added.

As a strategic move to provide the best experience for consumers, HONOR will collaborate with various local retailers and leading e-commerce platforms. Additionally, the company will operate eight service centers in different regions of Indonesia to ensure adequate after-sales and repair services for users.

HONOR’s expansion into Indonesia also reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its global network. In December 2024, HONOR’s global sales were recorded to exceed 50%, with the company ranking among the top five global markets for high-end products priced above IDR 9 million in the third quarter of 2024, according to data from Canalys.

In addition to focusing on growth, HONOR also places a strong emphasis on research and development (R&D), allocating more than 11% of its annual revenue for these activities. This highlights HONOR’s commitment to continuing to provide high-quality user experiences both in the Indonesian market and globally.

With these strategic initiatives, HONOR is ready to strengthen its presence in the Indonesian market and Southeast Asia, bringing the latest technological innovations to consumers and forming mutually beneficial partnerships with local partners.
