STRENGTHENING ECONOMIC TIES: CZECH PRIME MINISTER AND BUSINESS LEADERS ATTEND INDONESIA-CZECH BUSINESS FORUM
Czech Prime Minister, YM Petr Fiala, visited Jakarta, alongside business partners from Prague to attend the Indonesia-Czech Business Forum.
On April 18, 2023, the Czech Prime Minister, YM Petr Fiala, made his way to Jakarta, Indonesia, accompanied by a group of businessmen from Prague to attend the Indonesia-Czech Business Forum.
This forum was held at the luxurious Kempinski Hotel in Jakarta, where top business leaders from both nations gathered to discuss various strategic issues such as education, defense, and renewable energy.
In an effort to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, the Czechoslovak Group and Republikorp Indonesia continued their cooperation in the field of defense equipment development.
They signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement that aims to produce the ADS-400 Intermediate Air Defense Missile Complex, which is the latest weapon system used to protect areas from attack by fifth-generation aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, and cruise missiles.
The ADS-400 is a sophisticated defense system that comprises missiles, launchers, and a radar with a detection range of up to 470km and a missile range of up to 100km. It was developed jointly by Turkish Roketsan and Czech Retia, with Republikorp serving as the local industrial partner. The ADS-400 system provides advanced air defense capabilities that will help to protect both the Czech Republic and Indonesia from potential threats.
The strategic partnership between the Czechoslovak Group, Republikorp Indonesia, Roketsan, and Retia is a testament to the commitment of both countries to enhance their defense capabilities.
This partnership will not only strengthen their defense capabilities but will also create more job opportunities in the defense industry for the people of both nations.
Furthermore, during his visit, the Czech Prime Minister also had the opportunity to meet with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and discussed various strategic issues, including education, defense, and renewable energy.
