A running celebration that invites athletes to dominate every stride, embrace fierce competition, and chase their ultimate performance

The Semarang 10K 2025 event returns as one of the city's most anticipated sports activities. Now in its sixth year, it aims to welcome 3,000 participants, an increase from last year's total of 2,500 runners. This steady growth shows that Semarang 10K continues to earn a strong place in the hearts of running enthusiasts both locally and internationally.

Over the past two years, Semarang 10K has carried the theme Step Up Your Limit, calling runners to push through boundaries and elevate their abilities. This year brings a new direction with the theme Own The Game, which not only encourages participants to go beyond their limits but also to take full control of the challenges ahead. Runners are no longer simply covering the distance; they are challenged to master their rhythm, strategy, and each moment of their race.

Scheduled for December 14, 2025, the event is the result of a solid collaboration between Harian Kompas, the Semarang City Government, and bank bjb as the Official Bank Partner. The flat route and strong competitive atmosphere create an ideal setting for runners aiming to achieve personal bests. The course also passes through areas rich in cultural heritage, offering an experience that is both competitive and visually memorable.

This year, Semarang 10K strengthens its reputation as a prestigious running event by introducing several updates. One of them is the Semarang 10K Qualifier, which gives the fastest runners of 2024 a guaranteed slot. A Cut Off Point at kilometer 7.7 with a 65-minute limit is also introduced to maintain quality, safety, and smooth race management.

To cater to different abilities and age groups, Semarang 10K 2025 features four main categories:

• 10K Overall, open to male and female foreign participants aged 14 and above.
• 10K National, open to male and female Indonesian citizens aged 14 and above.
• 10K Master 40+, for Indonesian runners aged 40 and above.
• 10K Student, reserved for invited student runners aged 14 to 17.
