A spectacular fusion of visionary creativity and bold artistic expression that redefines the boundaries

The Indonesian artist community, Indonesian Artists, is hosting a contemporary art exhibition titled “Beyond Imagination” at the Jakarta Design Centre (JDC), located at Jalan Gatot Subroto No. 5, Petamburan, Central Jakarta. Running from May 3 to May 31, 2025, this exhibition showcases works by 56 active artists from various regions across the Indonesian archipelago.

Indonesian Artists is an art development platform aimed at becoming a social movement for Indonesian visual arts. The community plays a positive role in advancing Indonesian fine arts by producing high-quality works and nurturing skilled artists spread across nearly all provinces, including Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sumatra, and Aceh. Currently, Indonesian Artists has over 500 members.

The theme “Beyond Imagination” was chosen to represent artworks that transcend conventional imagination. The exhibition features a diverse range of artistic expressions through various concepts, styles, and techniques such as painting, sculpture, installation art, and mixed media works. “Beyond Imagination” challenges artists to think more broadly, break free from daily routines and limitations, and demonstrate intellectual creativity that goes beyond logic and reality.

This exhibition provides a free space for visitors to free their minds from conventional boundaries and explore an imaginative dimension that is difficult to define. Through the exhibited works, the artists not only present visuals but also open new doors to interpretation about worlds yet to come, new forms, and unique explorations of media and materials.
