FOREST HALL STUDIOS UNVEILS CAPTIVATING ART EXHIBITION: A CELEBRATION OF NATURE AND CREATIVITY

Forest Hall Studios in Milford unveils a captivating art exhibition featuring renowned artists and curated by Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg.

Forest Hall Studios at historic Forest Hall in Milford has exciting news to share as it announces the curators for its upcoming art exhibition showcase. Christopher Makos and Paul Solberg, known as the "Hilton Brothers," will be showcasing their artworks in this picturesque town they have grown fond of.

As preparations are underway, interior updates and renovations are being carried out to welcome the return of "Andy in Nature" and the unveiling of works by Hunt Slonem, Bruce Denhert, and Vincent Caruso.

Christopher Makos, acclaimed as "the most modern photographer in America" by Andy Warhol, is renowned for his portraits capturing the cultural icons of the '70s and '80s, including Warhol himself. Paul Solberg, on the other hand, is celebrated for his extraordinary military "Service" portraits and monumental flower portraits that evoke a sense of nostalgia while remaining fresh and captivating. Both artists, based in Manhattan, have individually and collaboratively exhibited their works in museums and international institutions.

The curatorial plans of Makos and Solberg include the following exhibitions:

1. "Andy in Nature" by Christopher Makos + Paul Solberg:
Running from July 8 to September 3, 2023, "Andy in Nature" offers a unique glimpse into the works of both artists. Makos presents his photographs of Warhol captured in various outdoor settings, such as Colorado, seaside New England, and Montauk. Contrasting with Makos' pieces are Solberg's vibrant and larger-than-life flower portraits, paying homage to Warhol's iconic flower works. Forest Hall Studios invites fans of the legendary pop art icon to experience this exhibition, conveniently located less than two hours away from New York City. Andy in Nature merchandise will also be available for purchase.

2. "Wildlife" by Hunt Slonem:
On September 23, 2023, Forest Hall Studios will unveil "Wildlife" by Hunt Slonem, a renowned Neo-Expressionist artist. Slonem's distinctive style, featured in esteemed institutions like the Guggenheim, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Whitney Museum, will showcase his depictions of bunnies and butterflies, capturing the wonders of nature that continually fascinate us.

3. "Alula" by Bruce Denhert:
Bruce Denhert, a prominent ceramist and founder of the Sugar Mapes Center for Creative Arts in Maplecrest, NY, presents "Alula," a unique installation specifically created for Forest Hall. Denhert, a recipient of the Fulbright Award, has his works displayed in collections across North America and New Zealand. "Alula" reflects Denhert's exploration of nature's intuition through impulsive cuts and the organic architecture of his ceramics.

4. "Shadows" by Vincent Caruso:
Joining the exhibition lineup on July 22, 2023, is "Shadows" by Vincent Caruso, bringing an intimate and engaging visual experience. Caruso, a graduate of the Hallmark Institute of Photography, delves into the interplay of light and dark, creating captivating images that remind us to appreciate the beauty in our own journey through life.

Admission to the Forest Hall Studios exhibition is complimentary, offering visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of art. The exhibition hours are Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Sundays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
