ONE OK ROCK closed the Asia leg of the DETOX Asia Tour 2026 at Indonesia Arena on Saturday, May 16, 2026. It was their third Jakarta concert in thirteen years. The tour ran through Bangkok, Seoul, Manila, Singapore, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Shanghai before arriving here. Jakarta finished it.

Taka Moriuchi has been the front of ONE OK ROCK since 2005. His voice has grown across eleven albums and three Jakarta visits, from the Senayan parking lot in 2013 to Beach City in 2023 to Indonesia Arena in 2026. Each room was larger than the one before. His voice filled all of them.

On a closing night of a tour, a vocalist either digs deeper or coasts. The Indonesia Arena crowd, which had been waiting since 2023, did not give him the option of coasting.

He addressed the crowd in Indonesian. "Apa kabar Jakarta?" Directly from the stage. Not scripted-sounding. Not performed. Just a Japanese drummer who had been touring across Asia for months, choosing the language of the last city on the list.

Indonesia Arena responded with the kind of volume that only arrives when a crowd that size feels personally addressed. The scream that followed was not polite. It was the sound of 60,000 people who understood what the gesture meant.

Tomoya has been behind the ONE OK ROCK kit for over two decades. He has played Jakarta before. He knew the room. He chose to speak to it in its own language on the last night. That is the kind of moment that does not make the setlist and does not leave the room.

Wherever You Are comes from the Niche Syndrome album, released in 2010. It is not a DETOX track. It has nothing to do with the tour's main concept and everything to do with why people fell in love with ONE OK ROCK in the first place.

When the intro began, something shifted. Not the energy of the crowd, which had been at full volume for most of the night. Something underneath that. A collective recognition. This was the song.

The phones came out before the first verse. Not because people were filming. Because the flashlight is the thing you do when you want to be part of the light rather than just watching it. By the chorus, it was not ONE OK ROCK performing for Indonesia Arena. It was Indonesia Arena performing alongside them.

Wherever You Are was recorded in 2010. Some of the people in that room were children when it came out. Some were teenagers in their rooms discovering Japanese rock for the first time. Some were at the 2013 or 2023 Jakarta shows. All of them were singing.
