The theme of the 2022 forum is Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean: Transforming into a New Era.

The 4th Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean Business Forum 2022 (INA-LAC 2022) will be held this year in JHL Solitaire Gading Serpong on 17-18 October 2022. The theme of the 2022 forum is Indonesia-Latin America and the Caribbean: Transforming into a New Era. The Forum aims to strengthen partnerships in the economic field between Indonesia and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

INA-LAC 2022 will consist of a plenary session, a panel session, business pitching and business matching. The plenary session will be officially opened with keynote remarks by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (live recording) and the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Indonesia. 

Mexican Ambassador to Indonesia Armando G. Alvarez said INA-LAC is a very promising forum for the two regions in the economic and trade fields. This was conveyed by Ambassador Alvarez during the INA-LAC media gathering on Friday, September 16, 2022.

The Special Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Regional Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ngurah Swajaya, said this activity began in 2019. Since then, this activity has been carried out every year. Last year, this activity was held on a hybrid basis.

The business forum has succeeded in contributing to improving the national economy between the two countries. Especially in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

So far, INA-LAC is considered successful in eliminating various challenges, such as distance, geography, connectivity, tariff and non-tariff barriers, in establishing cooperation with Latin American and Caribbean countries that are far from Indonesia.

"We believe that INA-LAC will also help strengthen partnerships and expand opportunities for these two regions," said Ambassador Alvarez optimistically.
