As part of the grand celebration of Indonesia's largest fashion event, Fashion Nation 17th, the Indonesian Fashion Designer Council proudly presented the "KAART JAGAT IPMI BATIK SHOW" on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at the Main Atrium of Senayan City.
This fashion show was a remarkable collaboration featuring some of Indonesia's most experienced and renowned designers. The lineup included Carmanita, Chossy Latu, Danny Satriadi, Denny Wirawan, Didi Budiardjo, Eridani, Ghea Panggabean, Ivan Gunawan, Liliana Lim, Mei Ahyar, Sebastian Gunawan, Rama Dauhan, and Wilsen Willim. The fusion of exquisite batik patterns with the glamorous designs of these talented individuals showcased a unique and unforgettable combination of beauty and elegance.
In addition to the spectacular fashion show, the Indonesian Fashion Designer Council also curated a Fashion Installation Exhibition, open to the public for free at GF Senayan City Mall. This exhibition ran from September 21 to October 1, 2023.
Beyond the visually stunning designs from the council's designers, the installation also narrated unique stories associated with each design and the experiences of the designers themselves. One particularly captivating installation was created by Wilsen William. This dark room represented the puzzle of resentment that Wilsen William had encountered since his entry into the world of fashion.
Visitors entering this space were invited to reflect on Wilsen Willim's journey and how people out there need our support, no matter how small it may seem. One touching aspect was how a message of encouragement from Wilsen Willim's mother became a significant turning point in his life, inspiring him to persevere on this path.
