Marriott International and Singapore Airlines (SIA) unveiled an enhanced strategic partnership on December 13, 2023, aimed at delivering added benefits to members of the Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer programs. This initiative streamlines rewards and membership status upgrades for eligible members, starting December 13, 2023, offering status matching and expedited elite status upgrades. Building upon the existing benefits of two-way point and mile transfers introduced in January 2023, members can seamlessly convert Marriott Bonvoy points into KrisFlyer miles and vice versa.

John Toomey, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific excluding China, Marriott International, expressed enthusiasm for the expanded partnership with Singapore Airlines, emphasizing the enhanced travel experiences for members. He highlighted the exclusive perks available within Marriott Bonvoy's vast global network, comprising nearly 8,700 hotels and resorts across over 30 brands, marking a significant milestone in customer service enhancement.

Dai Haoyu, Acting Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Singapore Airlines, emphasized the strengthened partnership with Marriott, offering KrisFlyer members increased benefits and opportunities to earn and redeem points and miles. He underscored the timely nature of this partnership amid high demand for international travel, providing members with better value and flexibility to align with their evolving lifestyles.

Enhanced benefits include:

- Status Adjustment: Members can enjoy elite status adjustments aligned with the elite tiers of both programs. Solitaire PPS Club, PPS Club, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members will receive status adjustments to Marriott Bonvoy Gold, while Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador members will receive status adjustments to KrisFlyer Elite Silver.
  
- Faster Membership Status Upgrade: Eligible Marriott Bonvoy members can expedite their KrisFlyer membership level upgrades by completing a minimum of two to four flights with SIA within a six-month period. Similarly, qualifying KrisFlyer members can accelerate their Marriott Bonvoy status adjustment by staying three to 10 nights at participating Marriott Bonvoy portfolio hotels within a six-month period.
  
- Access to Exclusive Promotions: Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer will regularly launch exclusive campaigns, enabling members to earn miles and points through hotel stays and flights. Further details will be announced in due course.
