POLAND PRESENTS “POLISH FINE DINING & AMBER NIGHT” IN JAKARTA, SHOWCASING CULINARY EXCELLENCE AND AMBER ARTISTRY

An unforgettable evening that blended refined flavors and Baltic artistry into a captivating cultural experience

The Embassy of Poland in Jakarta, together with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), hosted an exclusive event titled Polish Fine Dining & Amber Night on 12 November 2025 at The Summit Club, World Trade Center 1. The evening brought together distinguished guests from Indonesia’s business, diplomatic, lifestyle, and cultural circles to celebrate Poland’s rich culinary heritage and the renowned beauty of Baltic amber.

The event was led by H. E. Barbara Szymanowska, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Poland, and Cezary Filipek, Head of Office PAIH Jakarta, as part of the ongoing Poland Festival 2025 held across Indonesia. Through this initiative, Poland presents its cultural heritage and creativity to the Indonesian public in a more personal and memorable way.

A Fine Dining Journey by Two Renowned Polish Chefs

The highlight of the evening was a fine dining experience curated by two of Poland’s leading culinary figures. Chef Marcin Budynek, an award-winning chef who previously served as head chef at the Presidential Palace of Poland, showcased his expertise in blending classic Polish ingredients with modern techniques. He collaborated with Chef Mariusz Olechno, an innovative culinary talent known for contemporary interpretations of traditional Polish flavors.

Each dish was crafted to take guests on a gastronomic journey that reflects the richness of Poland’s culinary history, featuring distinctive regional ingredients and refined modern approaches. The menu not only delivered exceptional flavors but also demonstrated how cuisine can act as a meaningful cultural expression.

Amber Fashion Showcase Highlighting Baltic Elegance

Alongside the culinary experience, the event featured an Amber Fashion Showcase presenting selected amber jewelry curated by a Polish amber expert. The presentation highlighted Poland’s role as the world’s leading source of Natural Baltic Amber and showcased the evolution of amber craftsmanship through modern and artistic designs.

Every piece on display represented a blend of tradition and contemporary style, offering Indonesian guests the opportunity to appreciate the historical and cultural significance of amber, often referred to as the Gold of the North.

Strengthening Poland–Indonesia Cultural Diplomacy

Polish Fine Dining & Amber Night forms an important part of Poland Festival ASEAN 2025, a multi-city initiative aimed at promoting cultural exchange, creative industry development, tourism, and bilateral cooperation. Through this event, Poland reaffirms its commitment to building stronger cultural connections with Indonesia.

“Our goal is to bring a deeper understanding of Polish culture to Indonesia through meaningful, memorable experiences,” said Cezary Filipek, Head of Office, PAIH Jakarta. “Gastronomy and craftsmanship are powerful cultural bridges that connect people and open doors to future collaborations.”
