This vibrant festival is a grand stage showcasing creative innovation and cultural charm

To support inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the Tourism Office of West Sulawesi Province (Dispar Sulbar) will once again host Gema Sulbar 2025. This annual festival aims to create balanced growth across sectors while strengthening regional competitiveness through the development of the creative economy and effective management of the tourism industry.

With the theme “Growing Economy, Advancing Tourism,” Gema Sulbar focuses on expanding markets for creative economy products and strengthening the tourism sector. By showcasing unique local wisdom, the event serves as both a platform for development and a promotional stage for creative economy subsectors in West Sulawesi.

Gema Sulbar 2025 will be held on September 21–23, 2025, at Anjungan Pantai Manakarra in Mamuju. The event is also part of the 21st anniversary celebration of West Sulawesi. More than just a cultural and artistic showcase, the festival is designed to attract tourists and bring together hundreds of local SMEs and creative industry players.

This year’s program is especially diverse. Activities include Karampuang Fest, exhibitions of creative economy and SME products, a cultural carnival, art performances, the West Sulawesi Traditional Textile Festival, photography exhibitions, and competitions for students and young children. This variety reflects the event’s role not only as entertainment but also as a platform for education and promotion of regional potential.

Beyond cultural celebration, Gema Sulbar also highlights the importance of protecting intellectual property rights. This initiative supports the vision of developing local products that are both widely recognized and legally protected, enabling them to compete in national and international markets.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore creative products, experience local traditions, and discover innovative works by West Sulawesi’s creative talents. From handicrafts to traditional textiles, each exhibition will showcase the rich values and philosophy of the region’s identity.
