Bromo Marathon 2025 returns for its 12th edition, continuing a journey that began in 2013. Recognized as one of the most iconic running events in Indonesia, it blends the natural beauty of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park with the spirit of sports and local culture. Carrying the tagline “Run the Adventure,” Bromo Marathon invites runners from around the world to experience an extraordinary race amid the stunning scenery of the Tengger mountains.

This year, the event will take place on September 7, 2025, at Plataran Bromo in Tosari, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The day will start with bag drop and warm-up sessions, followed by the 42K Full Marathon at 7:00 AM. Other categories will begin shortly after, with the kids’ race starting at 8:00 AM.

Bromo Marathon 2025 offers five categories designed for different levels of runners. The Full Marathon covers 42.67 kilometers with an elevation of 1,794 meters, ideal for those seeking the ultimate challenge. The Half Marathon is 21 kilometers long with an elevation of 922 meters, perfect for testing endurance. The 10K category spans 9.91 kilometers with an elevation of 387 meters, suitable for intermediate runners. The 5K route covers 5.08 kilometers with an elevation of 216 meters, offering a scenic experience for those who prefer shorter distances. For young participants, the 2.5K Kids category covers 2.49 kilometers with an elevation of 112 meters, giving children the chance to enjoy the excitement of the race.
