MICAM 2024 at Fiera Milano showcases innovative footwear collections from 12 young designers, blending creativity, sustainability, and elegance

A new edition of "Emerging Designers" returns at MICAM, the international footwear exhibition, which will take place from September 15 to 17, 2024, at Fiera Milano. This initiative annually launches twelve new talents from the world of footwear to showcase their collections. This event demonstrates MICAM's commitment to supporting creativity and innovation in the footwear industry.

The selection process for these young talents was conducted by a quality jury consisting of fashion designer Ernesto Esposito (Chairman of the Jury), Sara Sozzani Maino (Creative Director of Fondazione Sozzani), Francesca Molteni (Scouting Director of Tessabit), Paola Ventimiglia (Fashion Director of SPORTWEEK - La Gazzetta dello Sport), Daniele Cardone (Fashion Photographer), Matteo Ward (Co-Founder of WRAD), together with MICAM represented by President Giovanna Ceolini.

12 creatives present various unique footwear collections characterized by sustainability, attention to materials, comfort, durability, and style.

AKVO - Less is More
After ten years working in the film and television industry, Daphne Wattiez decided to devote herself to the world of footwear. She created a concept of a fully sustainable and avant-garde sandal.

ARDEMIA - Sea Outside
Ardemia de'Gennaro began her creative journey in the world of fashion and style from Naples. The latest collection from the Ardemia brand, founded in 2017, will be showcased at MICAM this year.

BABÙ MILANO - Jardin Majorelle
Luisa Soriano, a graduate in Marketing and Communication from Naples, created this brand inspired by her childhood. Unique accessories from BABÙ MILANO are ready to compete at MICAM.

CB MADE IN ITALY - Intersection
Cecilia Bringheli and Sibilla de Vuono, with backgrounds from Milan and Naples, breathe life into the CB Made in Italy brand. They highlight elegant and stylish shoe creations.

CRIMAGNO EARTH - Temptation Island
Cristiano Magnoni, with extensive experience in interior design, created a versatile and eco-friendly footwear collection with distinctive ergonomic designs.

GIO MILAN - Check Mate
Giacomo Morelli, with a background in art and collaboration with renowned creative directors, created GIO MILAN. The brand emphasizes authentic style rooted in the energy of Milan.

MEEKO - Summer Safari
Guillaume Mesly d'Arloz created shoes suitable for various environments, both in elegant Paris and wild Borneo. The collection highlights sustainability and practicality.

O.SUR - Ecodesign
Corine Ferrer, inspired by Mediterranean cultures, created O.SUR. These shoes are produced on the east coast of Spain, renowned for its footwear craftsmanship tradition.

PARISY - Turbo Mood
Francesca Parisi, after a career in Los Angeles and studies at the Accademia del Lusso in Milan, created the PARISY collection focused on durability, comfort, and sustainability.

SABINIS - Simply Chic
Sabina Teruel Martinez from Barcelona created SABINIS, a brand that reflects sophisticated feminine creativity with a focus on sustainability and quality.

SISTTA - The Difference is Beautiful
Alberto Tassinari and Francisco Batta, with experience in the footwear industry between Italy and Mexico, created SISTTA. The brand combines timeless elegance with their shared vision.

SNEARK - Dangerous Bend
Lello Romano, with an architectural background, created SNEARK. These shoes are inspired by the 1980s style with a focus on sustainability through the use of biodegradable materials.
