The Festival Pesona Minangkabau (FPM) 2024 is currently in full swing, having started on December 5 and continuing until December 8 at Istano Basa Pagaruyung and Cindua Mato Field, Batusangkar, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra. As one of the largest cultural events in West Sumatra, FPM aims to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions of Minangkabau. This festival is also part of the Kharisma Event Nusantara 2024 series, which is expected to attract both local and international tourists.

FPM 2024 showcases a variety of Minangkabau art and cultural attractions, offering visitors the chance to experience the uniqueness of local traditions firsthand. The event features a wide range of traditional dance performances, music, and heirloom exhibitions, enriching the experience and serving as a platform to introduce Minangkabau culture in more depth.

One of the ongoing highlights is the "Satu Nagari Satu Event" (One Village One Event), which is currently presenting the cultural richness of various villages in West Sumatra. Additionally, the Minangkabau Cultural Parade, held daily, continues to captivate visitors with traditional costumes and performances that showcase the beauty of the local culture. The Traditional Minangkabau Martial Arts Performance remains a major attraction, demonstrating the skill and artistry of local martial arts, keeping visitors intrigued. The festival also includes the Matrilineal Festival and Heirloom Exhibition. Visitors can enjoy the Culinary Market, which introduces the region's signature dishes, as well as witness the Pacu Jawi, a traditional buffalo race filled with cultural significance.

Moreover, the Minangkabau Songket Fashion Show is showcasing a fusion of traditional beauty and modern fashion, while the Authentic Minangkabau Day and Festival Nagari Wisata offer deeper insights into the daily lives and traditions of Minangkabau communities from various regions. Photo exhibitions and MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) displays are also contributing to the vibrant atmosphere, supporting the growth of the creative economy sector in West Sumatra.

FPM 2024 runs from 09:00 to 17:30 WIB daily, and the events are being streamed live on the Tanahdatar TV YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person. This allows visitors from around the world to join in the celebration of Minangkabau's cultural grandeur.

This festival is not just a form of entertainment but also a strategic effort to introduce and preserve Minangkabau's local wisdom.
