Experience the perfect blend of nature and culture in an open space that brings together rich biodiversity, local creativity, and a vibrant green spirit

The Flora and Fauna Exhibition, known as Flona, returns this year with fresh energy. Organized by the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, the event creates a vibrant open space that connects the community with nature and promotes environmental awareness. Set in the scenic Taman Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, the exhibition runs from August 1 to September 8, 2025.

This year’s theme, "Biodiversity in Harmony: Jakarta Towards a Cultured Global City," aligns with Jakarta’s upcoming 500th anniversary in 2027. First launched in 1971, Flona has grown into a beloved annual event, especially among plant enthusiasts and animal lovers.

Flona 2025 features 167 booths, including nine from government agencies, 128 showcasing various types of plants, 10 focused on animals, and 20 offering food and beverages. Visitors can browse, learn, and even buy ornamental plants and pets directly at the venue. Entry to the event is free, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy and explore the diversity of Indonesia’s flora and fauna.

The exhibition also supports local businesses by providing a platform for cooperatives, MSMEs, and companies from Jakarta and other regions to promote their featured products. Through this, Flona contributes to the development of an environmentally friendly creative economy.

The exhibition was officially opened on August 5, 2025, by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo. The opening ceremony included live music performances and traditional dance, celebrating Indonesia’s cultural richness and diversity. In his remarks, the governor emphasized Flona as a reflection of the city’s commitment to building inclusive, green public spaces for all.

More than just a showcase of plants and animals, Flona 2025 represents a broader effort to protect biodiversity and raise public awareness about environmental care. With its lush, inviting atmosphere in the heart of Jakarta, Flona offers a refreshing destination for families, hobbyists, and anyone who appreciates the balance between people and nature.
