The grand final of Ruangguru's Academy of Champions (AoC) reached its peak on Saturday, February 1, 2025. After overcoming various challenges that tested their intelligence and knowledge, the representative team from District IV Jateng & DIY emerged victorious, defeating District XI Central Sumatra. Novin R: The Young Astronomy Prodigy

Novin R, the team’s representative in the Natural Sciences (IPA) category, is an 11th-grade student at SMA Kesatuan Bangsa Yogyakarta with a remarkable track record in astronomy. Born in Yogyakarta on March 11, Novin has amassed an impressive collection of achievements, including a bronze medal at the 2024 International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) in Brazil. He also won a gold medal at the 2023 National Science Olympiad (OSN) in Astronomy and a silver medal at the 2022 International Junior Science Olympiad in Colombia. With his intelligence and unwavering passion for learning, Novin played a key role in securing victory for the Jateng & DIY team.

MR Arya: The Mathematics Genius from Semarang

Arya, a 12th-grade student at SMA Negeri 3 Semarang, represented the Mathematics category. Born in Semarang on August 10, he has been winning competitions since 2018. Recently, he secured a bronze medal at the 2024 OSN and a silver medal in Ruangguru’s Science Competition. His mathematical prowess has been evident for years—he won a silver medal at the 2018 International Mathematics Science Olympiad and later claimed a gold medal at the 2021 OSN in Mathematics. Arya’s continuous achievements highlight his dedication to science and education.

Adelio: The Geography Champion Who Defied Limits

Adelio represented the Social Sciences (IPS) category, specializing in geography. A 12th-grade student at SMA Pradita Dirgantara Boyolali, he was born in Jakarta on September 3. His excellence in geography is undisputed. In 2024, he clinched a gold medal at the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) in Ireland, following a silver medal at the 2023 OSN in Geography. What makes his success even more remarkable is that his school does not offer geography as part of its main curriculum. Through sheer passion and determination, Adelio proved that limitations are no obstacle to achieving greatness.
