Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day is a historic milestone that encourages all citizens to reflect on the long journey toward becoming a free and sovereign nation. This occasion serves not only as a celebration but also as a reminder of the importance of upholding the spirit of independence through meaningful contributions and positive actions for the country.

With that spirit in mind, Ruang Indonesia Festival or R I Fest 2025 returns as a vibrant and meaningful way to commemorate independence. Taking place over three days, from August 15 to 17, 2025, at JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta, the festival offers a fresh experience for celebrating Indonesia’s Independence Day through a modern expression of nationalism that brings together entertainment, art, culture, and national values.

Embracing the theme Rasa Indonesia, or The Taste of Indonesia, R I Fest 2025 features a diverse range of programs including a music festival, carnival, fun run, kebaya and traditional wear showcase, archipelago culinary festival, and a variety of classic August 17 competitions. Activities will start from Jalan Benyamin Sueb and continue toward the West Parking Area of JIExpo, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

The main stage will host a lineup of leading musicians from various genres. Artists such as NDX AKA, Juicy Luicy, Denny Caknan, Sal Priadi, Tony Q, The Changcuters, Guyon Waton, Feel Koplo, and The Adams are set to perform with high energy to entertain the audience. A special collaboration featuring Whisnu Santika and Liquid Silva with MC Drwe will also bring a distinctive touch to the celebration.

Beyond the performances, R I Fest offers an interactive and educational space for young people to explore the values of Pancasila and the richness of Indonesia’s diversity through creative media. These include art installations, cultural performances, and a local MSME zone that highlights the work of Indonesian creators.
