Step into a dynamic world of art where creativity, color, and collaboration ignite the senses

Jakarta Illustration & Creative Arts Fair 2025 (JICAF 2025) is underway and has quickly become one of the key highlights in Jakarta’s creative art scene. Opening on September 18 and running until October 5, 2025, at The Space, Senayan City, the fair brings fresh energy through the works of more than 100 artists. Participants include both Indonesian and Malaysian talents, with well-known names such as Ardneks (Kendra Ahimsa) and Lala Bohang among the exhibitors.

JICAF is known as an inclusive platform where artists, art lovers, and creative industry professionals come together. It serves as a space where artworks take shape, ideas are exchanged, and collaborations flourish. This year introduces the unique concept of “Supermarket Artwork,” inviting visitors to explore and collect art as if they were browsing a vibrant marketplace, making the illustration-viewing experience more interactive and closely tied to everyday life.

Beyond visual showcases, JICAF 2025 also offers workshops and discussion sessions. These programs give visitors opportunities to participate directly, gain inspiration, and expand their networks within the art community. In this way, the fair serves not only as an exhibition but also as a hub for learning and collaboration.

A standout feature this year is the collaboration with Tab Space, a creative studio that works with neurodivergent artists. Six Tab Space artists contributed their interpretations of the theme “New Heights,” designing a new logo and visual identity for JICAF. Notably, the official font used this year was derived from the handwriting of Tab Space artist Angkasa.

The theme “New Heights” symbolizes the ambition to elevate Indonesian illustrators’ works for greater recognition both nationally and internationally. This vision is further enriched by cross-disciplinary collaborations with musicians such as Lomba Sihir and Bernadya, creating a multisensory experience for visitors.

Now midway through its schedule, JICAF 2025 continues to draw enthusiastic audiences. Over its 16-day run, the fair celebrates creativity, diverse styles, and the unifying power of art. With its innovative concept and inclusive programs, JICAF 2025 stands out as a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to experience the dynamic pulse of Jakarta’s contemporary art scene.
