JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2026 REFLECTED THE LEGACY OF STYLE AND THE POWER OF GENERATIONAL COLLABORATION

A spectacular celebration of creativity and culture that showcases Indonesia’s radiant fashion vision

Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) 2026 was held from October 27 to November 2, 2025, at Pondok Indah Mall 3, South Jakarta. Marking its 18th edition, this annual fashion celebration once again took the spotlight in Indonesia’s fashion scene, bringing a renewed sense of purpose through the theme “The Legacy of Style.” The theme celebrated cultural heritage and evolving lifestyles while highlighting the importance of collaboration across generations and industries in shaping a sustainable future for fashion.

As a symbol of renewal and innovation, JFW 2026 featured more than 100 acclaimed Indonesian designers and fashion labels, showcasing over 1,800 looks across diverse collections. This year’s event also brought together partners from multiple sectors, including automotive and technology. The collaboration between BYD Denza and Infinix stood out as a dynamic opening, presenting a creative vision driven by the youthful spirit that continues to energize the fashion world.

Among the major highlights was the 2025 Fashion Designer Competition (Lomba Perancang Mode or LPM), which opened the week’s series of events. Under the theme “Past, Present, Future,” the competition showcased the works of seven promising young designers who interpreted the flow of time through neutral palettes and contemporary silhouettes. Carolin Valentina claimed first place with her collection titled Nikhim, which combined rustic elements with refined details, captivating both fashion enthusiasts and judges such as Hian Tjen, Denny Wirawan, and Stella Risa.

JFW 2026 also expanded its regional reach through the ASEAN Fashion Parade, which featured top designers from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. This collaboration reflected regional solidarity and demonstrated that fashion is a universal language that connects creativity beyond borders.

More than just a runway showcase, JFW 2026 served as an educational and collaborative platform that supported the comprehensive development of Indonesia’s fashion industry. Through programs such as Fashionlink, DEWI’s Luxe Market, Fashion Force Award, and DEWI Fashion Knights, the event encouraged synergy among designers, industry players, and creative communities.

The Fashion Force program played a vital role in providing opportunities for independent brands and emerging designers to expand their market presence and gain visibility on international stages. Meanwhile, the Center Stage discussion forum offered a platform for professionals to share insights and perspectives on the future direction of Indonesian fashion.

JFW 2026 embodied the essence of “The Legacy of Style” as a living heritage of values, identity, and cultural expression conveyed through fashion. With strong support from various partners and a collaborative spirit across generations, Jakarta Fashion Week 2026 successfully stood as a celebration of limitless creativity and a testament to the continued evolution of Indonesian fashion toward a sustainable and inspiring future.
