Archipelago proudly supported Indonesia-Cuba diplomatic relations, emphasizing its commitment to strengthening cultural and hospitality ties

A special event, Reception of the Celebration of the 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Indonesia and Cuba, the National Day of Cuba for the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, and the Birth of the National Hero, José Martí, was successfully held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Aston Priority Simatupang. This historic occasion celebrated more than six decades of strong diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Cuba while also honoring Cuba’s National Day and the legacy of its national hero, José Martí.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including representatives from Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sugiono, and the Cuban Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Sra. Dagmar González Grau. High-ranking officials, diplomatic representatives from friendly nations, and strategic partners from both countries also took part, underscoring the importance of Indonesia-Cuba relations over the past 65 years.

A Tribute to Six Decades of Partnership

To commemorate this enduring friendship, a special photo exhibition featuring 18 historical images of Indonesia-Cuba relations was displayed. These photographs captured key moments of collaboration across politics, culture, trade, and healthcare, serving as a testament to the strong foundation built between the two nations over the years.

A Celebration of Cuban Culture

Embracing Cuban heritage, the event’s ambiance was enriched with authentic decorations, traditional dance performances, and lively Cuban music, including a captivating saxophone performance. Guests were also treated to a specially curated menu infused with Cuban flavors, prepared by the Corporate Chef team from Archipelago and Aston Simatupang. This immersive culinary experience further deepened the cultural connection between Indonesia and Cuba.
